Summer is Here!

Everyone, I hope you are enjoying this gorgeous, sunny days we have been having here in Portland. As Summer is just around the corner I will like to send a quick reminder to keep an eye on fruit that is High in Potassium and Phosphorus, as you all know along with Summer comes Yummy, delicious fruit!

Keep Warm!

  Hello everyone, hope you are all doing well. Today was a very sunny day with clear blue skies but don't let the sun fool you because is not warm! This weather we're having is extremely cold and windy! so make sure you are well bundle with layers of clothing, because, remember dialysis patients are more prompt to catch a flu!

Our first meeting of the Year!

  So exited to announce, we had our first meeting of the year 2014 today, Sunday, January 19th at Emmanuel Hospital! We met new patient and got to see familiar faces as well, we share our own
experiences, the struggles that come with being on Hemodialysis, Small veins, bleeding etc...
We also discuss the different modalities of treatment available now days for patients to choose from, is a matter of finding which treatment works best for the patient and last but not least we talk a bit on Education Symposium panel discussion, which will be on Sunday, March 2nd held Emmanuel Hospital
  It was a good meeting, all went well...lets hope more patients, caregivers show up....It's a great way to give support to each other, reach out to one and other, and spread the word of Kidney disease.
